I'm Kenny — I turn data into decisions at work, and spend my off-hours running a home lab, building apps, learning new tools, and playing drums. This is where I track what I'm working on and where I'm headed.
Who I am
I work as a manufacturing analyst — digging into data, finding inefficiencies, and helping operations teams make smarter decisions. But my curiosity doesn't clock out at 5.
I have a degree in IT with a cybersecurity emphasis and a CompTIA A+ certification. I've been running a home lab for two years, which has become my personal playground for everything networking, security, and infrastructure.
Right now I'm focused on leveling up in SQL, Excel, and Tableau — tools that sit right at the intersection of my analytical work and my love for building things. I'm also deep in development on a personal inventory app, starting from the database up.
Oh, and I've been playing drums for about a year — and I'm not stopping anytime soon.
What I'm building
Building a full inventory management app from the ground up — starting with the database schema. The goal is to track, search, and manage personal assets with a clean UI.
Two years in and still evolving. My home lab is where I experiment with networking, virtualization, security tools, and self-hosted services. No two months look the same.
Deliberately leveling up the three tools that matter most for my career. Working through real datasets, building dashboards, and writing more complex queries every week.
Targeting the AI-900 certification — Microsoft's foundational AI exam covering machine learning concepts, Azure AI services, and responsible AI. A natural next step after CompTIA A+.
Started about 1.2 years ago and completely hooked. Working on timing, rudiments, and building a consistent practice habit. Every session teaches me something new about focus and rhythm.
Capabilities & growth
The playground
Two years of building, breaking, and rebuilding. My home lab is where curiosity meets hardware — a personal environment for learning networking, security, and infrastructure hands-on.
